The MD/CEO shall be responsible for developing business strategies, managing executive teams, representing the company to stakeholders, and ensuring the company achieves its goals and financial objectives, reporting directly to the board of directors

RESPONSBILITIES

SUPPORT AND ASSISTANCE TO THE BOARD 

  • Responsible for providing the Board with the information it needs to carry out its responsibilities in a proper, appropriate, and timely manner.
  • Keeps the Board regularly and adequately provided with the day-to-day activities of the Company and of any changes in business strategy, risk strategy/risk appetite, the Company’s performance and financial condition, breaches of risk limits or compliance rules, internal control failures, legal or regulatory concerns and issues raised as a result of the Company’s whistleblowing procedures.
  • Spearheads the strategic planning process; i.e. prepare and advise the Board on options to improve the future strategic position of the Company and constantly explore and exploit business opportunities.

 

STRATEGY, DIRECTION AND MANAGEMENT OF THE COMPANY 

  • Provides the Company-wide leadership and attracts talented human capital that will support the Company’s mission and vision.
  • Leads and implements the Company’s strategic plans in line with the direction, business strategies, risk management systems, risk culture, processes and controls set out by the Board.
  • Shall target and expand the growth in business levels, the customer base of the Company in line with the Company’s strategy and vision as approved by the Board from time to time. The CEO shall ensure that the long-term plans are being followed thoroughly.
  • Establishes a management structure that promotes accountability and transparency across the Company.
  • Provides oversight of the management team and ensures that the Company’s activities are consistent with the business strategy, risk appetite and the policies approved by the Board.
  • Shall introduce new innovative products, enhance operational efficiency and ensure that the requirements and / or expectations of both external and internal customers and other stakeholders are fulfilled.
  • Proactively plan and lead initiatives aimed at ensuring that the Company has adequate capital, funding, liquidity and other resources required to meet its medium- and long-term goals.

COMPLIANCE, RISK AND CONTROL 

  • The MD/CEO ensures that the policies spelt out by the Board are implemented within the risk tolerance / appetite levels set out by the Board and that the risk culture and internal control framework are adequately implemented and communicated at all levels;
  • Ensures that all staff operates within strict accordance with the Company’s standards and policies, including its Code of Ethics, corporate governance, environmental, safety and health policies and that they are fully aware on issues of compliance, particularly on AML and KYC issues.
  • Ensures that the Company complies with all the relevant and other applicable laws in the lawful and ethical execution of its operations.
  • The MD/CEO shall be conversant with the state of internal control, the prevailing legislation as well as current issues impinging the financial sector.

 

COMMUNICATION 

  • The MD/CEO is the figurative head of the organization that communicates with stockholders, government entities and the general public:
  • Maintains regular contact with the Chairperson of the Board on all important and strategic issues of the Company and act as a direct liaison between the Board and the Management.
  • Communicates effectively with all of the Company’s stakeholders and the public as and when required and ensures the integrity of all public disclosures made by the Company.
  • The MD/CEO maintains top level relationships with each of the Company’s regulators and government agencies.

JOB TITLE:                   Head, Operations

JOB SUMMARY:         

The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the Company and the employees. He ensures that everything is running smoothly, from Customer Service to Compliance with regulators and regulations. He deals with clearing/settlement Banks and Treasury Operations. He/ She may also be tasked with developing new strategies or initiatives to improve the performance of the company and increase profitability. This will include implementing new technology systems, improving employee training programs, or even changing how certain products or services are delivered to customers.

 

RESPONSBILITIES

  • Responsible for effectiveness and efficiency of the company, Team development, Team morale and implementation of the company’s code of conduct at the various levels in operations.
  • Develop strategies to minimize customer complaints and suggest ways of managing the public image of the company.
  • Oversee the customer service unit.

Internal Control & Compliance guarantees that the business processes and transactions follow all relevant legal and internal guidelines.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:      

  • Develop and implement compliance model required for a bank to operate within acceptable standards
  • Liaise with senior managers to ensure proper implementation of established compliance policies
  • Review internal Company policies to ensure they align with all requisite regulations
  • Conduct research to identify new regulations passed by state or federal governing bodies
  • Monitor client financial activities to ensure they are legal and in compliance with internal and external Company policies

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have a first degree (BSc) in Human Resource Management or any related discipline.
  • Possession of CIBN certification will be an added advantage.
  • Other HR certifications will be an added advantage

 

EXPERIENCE:

Must have minimum of 6 years post NYSC work experience with 2 years in mid management level in HR & Admin role.
